For rising undergraduate seniors and graduate students, summer internships in editorial are offered through the Time Inc. Editorial Internship program.

The Time Inc. Editorial Internship program for Summer 2009 is open only to undergraduates and graduate level candidates who intend to graduate in December 2009 or May 2010 (May 2009 for attendees of one-year graduate programs). The deadline for applying is November 7th, 2008. Only candidates selected for the internship will be notified in March 2009.

All applicants must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in journalism. The nine-week summer internships are in New York City on the staff of one of our magazines or website, such as:Essence, Entertainment Weekly, Fortune, In Style, Money, People, People En Español, Real Simple, Sports Illustrated, SI For Kids, and Time. Magazine/Website title assignments are determined by Time Inc.

The program will run from the beginning of June to the beginning of August. This is a paid internship program and Time Inc. will also provide dormitory style housing in New York at a nearby University or a housing stipend.

Most interns perform the duties of reporter/researcher. While they probably will not be writing copy, we do utilize the talents of students with exceptional writing skills. We also welcome applicants for photo editing, photo lab and graphic design. Applications by minority and disabled students are particularly welcome.
