Advertising Sales |
|

The advertising sales team is responsible for selling ad pages and spots on the website to new and existing clients. By researching prospective clients, developing sales packages and going on sales calls, the advertising sales department generates revenue for the magazine and website. |

Business/Management |
|
| |
The business department (Finance, Operations, Administration) is responsible for the magazine’s profitability and overall operation. They must ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly. |

Consumer Marketing |
|
| |
Time Consumer Marketing group develops and implements initiatives to successfully drive the purchase of magazine subscriptions and single-copy issues. Through financial, marketing and analytical skills the consumer marketers generate creative ways to sell the magazine to consumers and to drive traffic to the website. |

Digital/Online/Internet |
|
| |
The digital staff generates content for the website including stories, photos, videos and games. The digital team also sells online advertisements and drives traffic to the site. They are also responsible for using technology to expand the brands onto new platforms such as mobile. |

|
| |
Editorial |
|
| |
The editorial staff creates all of the content for the magazine and website including, feature stories, photography, cover design and layout. The editors, writers, designers and photographers generate unique stories ideas and help shape the concept and look of the brand. |

Marketing & Promotions |
|
| |
The marketing staff supports the advertising sales department by generating ideas and programs, developing proposals and creating materials that are used to sell to advertisers. The marketing staff is also responsible for organizing events, designing media kits and creating sales collateral that promotes the brand. |

Production |
|
| |
The production department ensures that the editorial and advertising pages are received in the correct format, that every page is in the right position and that the entire book is received by the printer. Responsibility for buying paper and distribution of the magazine also resides with the production department. |

Research |
|
| |
The research department uses primary and secondary research to gain insightful information so they can better understand the reader, the competition and the industry. Research is used to help focus the editorial content and advertising efforts. |
