Time Inc. Editorial Internship Program

The Time Inc. Editorial Internship Program for Summer 2008 is targeted to undergraduates and graduate level candidates who intend to graduate in May 2009. Students of one-year graduate school programs who graduate in May 2008 are also eligible. All applicants must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in journalism. The nine-week summer internships are in New York City on the staff of one of our magazines, such as: Essence, Entertainment Weekly, Fortune, Fortune Small Business, In Style, Money, People, People En Español, Real Simple, Sports Illustrated, SI For Kids, and Time. There are a limited number of opportunities in offices outside of New York City. Magazine title assignments are determined by Time Inc.

The program will run from the beginning of June to the beginning of August. This is a paid internship program and Time Inc. will also provide dormitory style housing in New York at a nearby University or a housing stipend.

Most interns perform the duties of reporter/researcher. While they probably will not be writing copy for the publication, we do utilize the talents of students with exceptional writing skills. We also welcome applicants for photo editing, photo lab and graphic design. Applications by minority and disabled students are particularly welcome.
